New Members of Tradis Management Board

new members of the Management Board of Tradis, a subsidiary of Emperia Holding, one of the largest trading groups in Poland, have been appointed. Mr Kazimierz Mars was appointed Chairman, and Rafał Melanowicz and Dariusz Zdanowicz were appointed members of the Management Board. The changes in the Management Board are part of the strategy to make Tradis the leader of the Polish FMCG distribution.

Kazimierz Mars, company’s shareholder, has been with the Emperia Group for a number of years, serving on the management boards and supervisory board of various subsidiaries of the Emperia Holding Group, and prior to that of BOS. He has been involved in the trading sector since 1990. He was the founder of Libra, a wholesaler of FMCG products in the south of Poland. He was the co-founder of Lewiatan 94 Holding S.A., a member of its Supervisory Board from the very start, and subsequently Chairman of Supervisory Board (until 2008). He was a supporter and active participant of consolidation in the Polish wholesale/retail sector. Since the early 2000s, he served as Vice-Chairman and Chairman of the Management Board of Sygel-Jool S.A, and subsequently BOS S.A. Since 2009, after completion of the integration of Sygel-Jool S.A. and the other distribution companies into a single business as part of the Emperia Trading Group, he serves as Director of Southern Region at Tradis.

Rafał Melanowicz , has been with the Emperia Trading Group since 1999, among others as a member and Chairman of Management Board of Infinite Sp. z o.o. and the Sales Director of Tradis Sp. z o.o. He is a graduate of the Lublin Technical School, Management and Marketing Faculty.

Dariusz Zdanowicz has been involved in the FMCG sector for over 20 years, and since December 2010 he has been the Operating Director of the Tradis Wholesale Group. For many years he had worked in sales at PepsiCo Intenational, first as the National Sales Manager, and then the Commercial Director and Managing Director for the Baltic Countries. Most recently, he was the Managing Director and Chairman at Lekkerland Poland. Dariusz Zdanowicz has many years of experience in the management of commercial companies, including sales strategy planning and improvement of distribution channel effectiveness.

The Tradis Wholesale Group operates as the franchisor of franchise stores and supermarkets of varying formats, tailored to meet the needs and expectations of Polish consumers. The Tradis franchisees make up Lewiatan, Groszek, Koliber, Euro Sklep, and Milea retail chains that are highly-valued by customers.

Tradis acts also as the strategic partner of Społem Cooperatives and is actively involved in the development of a modern cooperative retail sector in Poland. PSD, Partner Retail Service (Partnerski Serwis Detaliczny), dedicated to those customers, is part of Tradis. In the spring of this year a new retail chain, GAMA, was launched as part of PSD. The chain will be developed based on the existing retail stores of the Społem cooperatives to eventually become a national operation.

The Tradis Wholesale (Distribution) Group engages in wholesale distribution of FMCG products through cash&carry locations and Distribution Centres throughout Poland. The Group’s clients include supermarkets, franchise chains, retail associations, and Społem Cooperatives. Market research confirms that Tradis has a loyal patronage.
