Ambra Joins Emperia Trading Group

Ambra, a leading distributor of household chemical products and cosmetics organised as a limited liability company, joined the Emperia Trading Group, one of the largest Polish trading group that engage in FMCG retailing and wholesaling.

“Ambra, as the leading distributor of household chemical products and cosmetics in the Śląsk, Opolszczyzna, and Małopolska regions of Poland, was looking for a long-term development strategy. The merger with the Emperia Trading Group will bring mutual benefits as well as strengthening Emperia’s wholesale business. Now we will build the Polish trading sector together,” said Roman Zięba, Chairman of Ambra Sp. z o.o.

Ambra has been in the Polish market for 19 years now. Its product range includes over 12,000 products, and thanks to its modern IT system and experienced staff it is capable of providing top-grade services. In 2008, Ambra reported sales revenues of some PLN 118 million.

“I am glad that a company like Ambra has joined Emperia. Its expertise and a large growth potential will significantly strengthen our distribution of household chemical products and cosmetics. The Emperia’s development strategy is based on active consolidation of the retail and wholesale market in Poland. The incorporation of Ambra is yet another step bringing closer together two Polish trading organisations.

The integration of selected wholesale companies of Emperia into a single business to operate under the name of Tradis is under way.
